The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Jharkhand has launched a campaign called Vikas Teerth in commemoration of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s nine years in power. Over two days, BJP leaders visited sites that have undergone development under Modi and ex-Chief Minister Raghubar Das. The sites included the Women’s University, Professional College, and houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana scheme. They also inspected the Sidirsai Railway Halt in Potka Assembly, the flyover near Rankini Mata Temple, and the electrical sub-station in Asanboni. MP Bidyut Baran Mahato expressed concerns over the slow progress of various schemes under the Hemant Soren government, including the construction of thousands of houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in Birsanagar. Former MLA Menka Sardar acknowledged the efforts made by the previous double engine government in formulating comprehensive plans to address various issues. BJP District President Gunjan Yadav emphasized that under the double engine government of the BJP, Jharkhand’s identity transformed from Scam Jharkhand to Skill Jharkhand. The event witnessed the presence of several party leaders and workers, along with local residents.
