The Karnataka unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced plans to launch a helpline aimed at protecting its workers from the atrocities of the Congress government. Tejasvi Surya, president of the party’s Yuva Morcha, said the helpline would be staffed by a team of trained lawyers ready to fight any legal battles and protect members who felt threatened or targeted. Surya cited instances of workers being threatened or accused of committing crimes as reasons for the move. The helpline will operate 24/7 and be available across Karnataka.
