Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) President Nana Patole has accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of planning to create a situation similar to ongoing clashes in Manipur within Maharashtra. Patole claimed that Maharashtra has already seen riots in ten different locations in the past couple of months, all organized by the BJP to divert attention away from challenges such as unemployment, inflation, and farmer issues. Patole also alleged that the BJP governments do not address pressing concerns, nor do they make decisions geared towards benefiting the people. He assured that people have social harmony and a deep-rooted ideology towards leaders like Rajrishi Shahu, Savitri Phule, and BR Ambedkar which make it difficult for BJP’s conspiracy to succeed. The Congress party has met with the Director General of Police and the Governor regarding law and order, but no action has been taken to prevent the recurrence of such incidents, stated Patole.
