Suleman Dawood, a 19-year-old student, was among the five men who tragically died on a missing Titanic sub, which included his father, Shahzada Dawood, the sub’s pilot and OceanGate CEO Stockton Rush, French naval veteran and “Mr. Titanic” Paul-Henri Nargeolet, and British billionaire Hamish Harding. The son reportedly agreed to go on the trip with his dad for Father’s Day to please him, as his father was passionate about the Titanic. According to a family member, Suleman was hesitant about joining the expedition and was terrified ahead of the trip. The sub lost communications with its mother ship after one hour and 45 minutes, leading to a massive manhunt and a tragic end for the passengers. Despite the family fallout over her use of medicinal cannabis, Suleman’s sister, Azmeh Dawood, expressed disbelief over the tragic loss of her loved ones. The company found additional debris and said the cause of the crash was due to a catastrophic loss of the pressure chamber.
