Amid turmoil in Bihar politics, Chirag Paswan, the chief of the Lok Janshakti Party (LJP), met with Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Delhi. Paswan expressed optimism about the situation regarding the alliance, stating that it was very positive. This development comes as the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), and Janata Dal (United) (JDU) held separate meetings to discuss the ongoing political scenario in Bihar.
During the meeting with Amit Shah and BJP National President JP Nadda, Chirag Paswan discussed the prevailing political situation in Bihar. He emphasized the importance of clarity and expressed concerns about the state’s future. Paswan received assurances from the BJP leaders and mentioned that the situation would become clearer in the coming days. He also reiterated that the LJP remains a part of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA).
Simultaneously, a core committee meeting of the BJP took place in Patna, Bihar’s capital. BJP MLA Vijay Kumar Sinha, Union Minister Giriraj Singh, former Bihar Deputy CM Sushil Kumar Modi, Union Minister Nityanand Rai, and Bihar BJP President Samrat Chaudhary were among the participants. The meeting aimed to discuss the current political landscape and devise strategies accordingly.
Meanwhile, former Janata Dal (United) president Rajiv Ranjan (Lalan) Singh visited Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s residence in Patna. Additionally, several Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leaders, including Vijay Kumar Mandal, Lalit Kumar Yadav, Abdul Bari Siddiqui, Bihar Law Minister Shamim Ahmad, and Binod Jaiswal, visited Deputy CM Tejaswi Yadav’s residence.
Amidst all this, JD(U) leader KC Tyagi expressed concerns about the INDIA alliance, suggesting that it might be on the verge of breaking due to what he called the irresponsible and obstinate attitude of Congress.
