Amid escalating political tension in Bihar ahead of the crucial trust vote scheduled for Monday, legislators from various parties have been finding ways to combat severe mental stress. As every party strives to keep their members united, lawmakers have turned to music, yoga, and sports activities. With all eyes on the trust vote, the newly formed Nitish Kumar-led NDA government is seeking support. The government was formed on January 28.

In a video that has recently surfaced, camaraderie and solidarity are evident among former Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav’s party lawmakers. The video captures RJD legislator Yusuf Salahuddin singing Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan’s iconic ghazal while Tejashwi Yadav sits close by, and other MLAs calmly listen, enjoying a bonfire.

Additionally, legislators from various parties have engaged in different activities to alleviate stress. Lalu’s elder son and former minister Tej Pratap Yadav was seen playing ludo with a party legislator on a lush green grass field. Cricket games were also observed as lawmakers took advantage of the situation to pass the time.

RJD’s chief spokesperson, Shakti Singh Yadav, emphasized that their legislators are calm, composed, relaxed, and enjoying music. He also stated, We have nothing to do with the parties whose lawmakers are still missing and skipped their meetings.

All the RJD MLAs, along with lawmakers from the Left parties and Congress, have been accommodated at Tejashwi’s residence on Deshratna Marg in Patna since Saturday evening. On Monday, all lawmakers will head directly to the state assembly.

RJD holds the highest number of seats in the state assembly with 79 members, followed by Congress with 19 MLAs, and the Left with 16. Even AIMIM MLA Akhtarul Iman has pledged his support to the Grand Alliance, although he is not staying at Tejashwi’s residence.

On the other hand, BJP legislators, who were staying at a hotel in Bodh Gaya for a two-day training session ahead of the trust vote, were caught on camera practicing various yoga postures during their stay. Several BJP MLAs were seen participating in yoga and deep breathing exercises. They all returned to Patna on Sunday evening, expressing confidence in winning the trust vote.

State BJP spokesperson Manoj Sharma stated, The entire NDA is confident, and we will comfortably win the trust vote tomorrow. He also mentioned that those who couldn’t attend the party programs are in touch with the party leadership.

The trust vote in Bihar is eagerly awaited by citizens and political observers, as it will determine the fate of the government. The activities undertaken by lawmakers to combat stress highlight the intensity of the situation and the efforts made by parties to maintain unity within their ranks. As Monday approaches, the political landscape remains fraught with tension, awaiting the outcome of the trust vote.
