Akanksha Puri, one of the contestants on Bigg Boss OTT season 2, has been evicted from the show due to a controversial kiss with fellow contestant Jad Hadid. In an interview, Akanksha expressed her disappointment over her eviction, calling it unfair and claiming that the channel exploited the kiss controversy for ratings.
Reflecting on her time in the Bigg Boss OTT house, Akanksha stated that she felt targeted from the beginning and believed the game was not going in her favor. She considered the kiss to be a major highlight and the only time she got to perform. Despite the criticism she faced, she stood by her decision to participate in the task and gave it her all.
Akanksha also revealed that she faced demeaning comments on stage and was portrayed as flawless and rehearsed, which she believed worked against her. She felt alienated from her friends and was constantly told that she was in the wrong company.
Regarding the controversial kiss, Akanksha was aware that Jad had a four-year-old daughter. Salman Khan, the host of the show, expressed his disapproval of the kiss and apologized to the audience. Akanksha felt this was unfair and questioned why the channel didn’t apologize as well, considering they had promoted and milked the controversy for ratings.
Addressing the criticism of being a bad kisser, Akanksha clarified that it was a task and not a private moment or a romantic encounter. She mentioned that she was merely holding her lips for 30 seconds, but Jad got carried away and kissed her more passionately.
When asked about fellow contestant Pooja Bhatt, Akanksha acknowledged her strong presence and referred to her as a ring-master who had control over the other contestants. She admired Pooja’s convincing power and stated that she didn’t possess the same talent.
Regarding her past relationship with Paras Chhabra, Akanksha claimed there was no closure as they didn’t feel it was necessary. However, she made it clear that she would never accept him back and has moved on from that phase of her life.
Looking ahead, Akanksha expressed openness to dating someone from a reality show and emphasized that she is simply looking for a good man in her life.
In terms of the smartest contestants on the show, Akanksha singled out Pooja and Abhishek for playing the game exceptionally well. She expressed her desire for Abhishek to win, considering him the mastermind. Additionally, she regarded Manisha as an underdog who could potentially make it to the top three.
Overall, Akanksha felt that her journey on Bigg Boss OTT was biased and that she didn’t get a fair chance to prove herself due to preconceived notions some people had about her. She expressed her unhappiness with the way things played out and felt that viewers didn’t really get to see the real Akanksha Puri on the show.
