Rajasthan’s Bhavesh Shekhawat emerged victorious in the men’s 25m rapid-fire pistol T6 trials at the national selection trials at the Karni Singh Range in New Delhi on Tuesday. Bhavesh, who was runner-up to Anish Bhanwala in the T5 trial earlier this week, scored 33 hits in the final to beat Army shooter Gurmeet, who ended with a score of 31.
In the women’s 10m air rifle T5 competition, Ramita put up an exceptional performance, leading from start to finish with a final score of 252.8, securing 24 shots. The national selection trials, 5 and 6, witnessed intensifying competition with various athletes competing fiercely for the top positions.
