If they click on the link, they are directed to a website that resembles the official Barbie website. Here, they are prompted to enter personal information, including their name, email address, and credit card number.
Once scammers obtain this sensitive data, they can exploit it to hack into victims’ bank accounts or other online platforms. To protect against such phishing attacks, McAfee advises users to exercise caution and avoid clicking on links in emails or social media posts from unknown senders or those that appear suspicious. It is important to be wary of websites with misspellings or grammatical errors, posing as legitimate sources.
