[Bengaluru Woman Arrested After Assaulting Police and Biting Officer at Mall]
In a shocking incident that unfolded during the closing hours of a popular mall in Bengaluru, a 28-year-old woman was arrested after allegedly assaulting police officials and biting an officer. The incident occurred within the Adugodi police station limits in the early hours of Thursday.
According to reports, the woman, identified as a chartered accountant from Davanagere, had gone to the Nexus mall in Koramangala to catch a late-night show. However, she stayed in the mall for hours after the show ended, prompting the mall officials to approach her.
When the officials asked her to leave, the woman reportedly became abusive and attacked the security officers and mall manager. Recognizing the severity of the situation, the manager dialed the emergency helpline number, 112, and the call was answered by a woman police sub-inspector patrolling the area.
The police officer took the woman to the police station for questioning. However, instead of cooperating, the woman continued her aggressive behavior. She threw her slipper at an assistant sub-inspector and verbally abused the police officers. Despite warnings that her actions were being recorded, she did not cease her assault.
In an attempt to escape the station, the woman bit the hand of the sub-inspector. As a result, the police registered a case against her under several sections of the Indian Penal Code, including assault and criminal force to deter a public servant from discharging duty, causing hurt voluntarily, causing hurt by dangerous weapons or means, and intentional insult.
Following her arrest, the woman was taken for a medical examination, and the results are still pending. The police are currently conducting further investigations to uncover any underlying issues or possible motives behind her behavior.
This incident highlights the importance of maintaining control and civility in public spaces. The mall officials and police officers involved in handling the situation acted swiftly and responsibly, ensuring the safety of all parties involved. As the investigation continues, it remains crucial to understand the circumstances surrounding the incident and provide necessary support to both the woman and the authorities involved.
Acts of aggression and violence should never be justified, and it is essential for individuals to recognize the consequences of their actions.
