Beloved Warren Resident Judy M. Fox Passes at 80, Leaving a Legacy of Family and Faith
Warren, Ohio – Judy M. Fox, a cherished resident of Warren, Ohio, has passed away at the age of 80. On Thursday, August 3, 2023, she peacefully went home to be with the Lord, reuniting with her loved ones in heaven. Born on August 31, 1942, in Cassity, West Virginia, Judy was the daughter of the late Thomas Zirkle Sr. and the late Georgie Zirkle (Williams).
Judy had a deep love for her family and a strong faith in God. She graduated from Tygart Valley High School in Millcreek, West Virginia, and had a fulfilling career at Packard Electric before retiring. One of Judy’s greatest joys in life was traveling and exploring different parts of the world. She also actively participated in Bible study groups at her church, finding solace and inspiration in her faith.
In her leisure time, Judy enjoyed tending to her garden and delighting in the beauty of nature, especially watching and feeding birds. She cherished moments of sharing long conversations with her friends, finding comfort in their companionship. However, it was her family who held the most special place in her heart. Spending time with her children and precious grandchildren brought immense joy and happiness to her life.
Judy leaves behind a loving legacy through her surviving family members. She is survived by her sons, Charles W. (Audrey) Fox, Jr., of North Benton, Ohio, and Michael T. (Michelle) Fox of Braceville, Ohio. Her daughter, Valerie G. (Gary) Sweeney of Cortland, Ohio, also mourns her passing. Additionally, she is survived by her brother, Thomas Zirkle Jr., as well as 14 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Preceding Judy in death was her beloved husband of 45 years, Charles W. Fox, who passed away in 2005. She was also preceded by her sister, Charlot Casto, and an infant granddaughter.
To honor and remember Judy’s life, visitation will be held at the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home in Warren, Ohio, on Wednesday, August 9, 2023, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Additionally, visitation will take place at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins, West Virginia, on Friday, August 11, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 Noon. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 Noon at the Tomblyn Funeral Home. Finally, Judy will be laid to rest at the Brick Church Cemetery in Huttonsville, West Virginia.
Judy M. Fox will be deeply missed by her loved ones, who treasure the memories they shared with her. Her legacy of family, faith, and love will forever remain in their hearts. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
