Beloved Sharon Woman, Carletta Jones, Passes Away at Home – Remembering Her Legacy, US

SHARON, Pennsylvania – Carletta Jones, a long-time resident of Sharon, Pennsylvania, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at the age of 67. Born on June 13, 1956, in Youngstown, Ms. Jones was the daughter of Leslie Harmon and Irene Clark.

A graduate of East High School in 1974, Carletta went on to earn her LPN license from Chofffin Career Center. She dedicated over two decades of her life to serving others as an employee of Mercy Aultman Hospital in Canton.

In addition to her nursing career, Carletta was a former member of Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church. She had a wide range of hobbies that brought her joy, including reading, drawing, crocheting, knitting, and writing poems. She also had a passion for watching TV and sports, particularly football.

Carletta is survived by her significant other, Russell Campbell, as well as her five children: Tori I. Johnson, Dustin R. Hennings, Adelino C. Fontes III, Kelvin B. Jones II, and Brandy R. Jones. She also leaves behind three siblings: Theresa Harmon, Lynn C. Harmon, and Bradley Harmon. Ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren will cherish her memory, alongside numerous other family members and friends.

Carletta was preceded in death by her parents, Leslie Harmon and Irene Clark, as well as her two brothers, Leslie Harmon and Larry Harmon, and her grandmother, Katie Brown.

To honor Carletta Jones, a visitation will be held on Thursday, February 1, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon at the L. E. Black, Phillips & Holden Funeral Home, located at 1951 McGuffey Road in Youngstown. Following the visitation, funeral services will commence at 12:00 Noon. Guests are kindly asked to wear masks while attending.
