During his time at Houston, Reggie continued to shine on the court, playing a pivotal role in leading his team to victories. He garnered several individual accolades, including being named the Conference USA Freshman of the Year and earning a spot on the All-Conference USA Second Team during his sophomore year.

Despite his success at Houston, Reggie decided to transfer schools after two years and joined the Arkansas Razorbacks men’s basketball program. Once again, he made significant contributions to his team’s success at Arkansas.

Tragedy struck in April 2021 when Reggie was found unresponsive by authorities in Nashville, TN. It appeared to be an accidental drug overdose while he was visiting family members over the Easter weekend. Despite efforts by medical personnel, Reggie couldn’t be saved, leaving behind a life full of unfulfilled potential.

The loss of Reggie Chaney is truly heartbreaking. He was a young man with immense talent, and his untimely passing serves as a reminder of how fragile life can be. This devastating event highlights the importance of cherishing every moment with loved ones and recognizing the worth and potential in others.
