Defence Secretary Inaugurates State-of-the-Art Auditorium, Calls for Increased Collaboration Between BEL and Domestic Startups
Defence Secretary Giridhar Aramane inaugurated the ‘Abhigyaan’ auditorium at Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL)’s Central Research Laboratory in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday. The auditorium, equipped with advanced technology, was hailed as an asset to the scientific community.
During his address to BEL scientists and engineers, Secretary Aramane praised their dedication to strengthening national security and emphasized the importance of collaborations with domestic startups and incubators. He urged BEL to leverage these partnerships to deliver cutting-edge technologies and products to the armed forces in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat (self-reliant India). The Abhigyaan auditorium boasts state-of-the-art features, including acoustics, smart interfaces, a large interactive data wall, and three cameras with extensive live feed capabilities. It also features two high-resolution displays for simultaneous presentations and demonstrations. With a seating capacity of 250 people, the auditorium will serve as a platform for product demos, symposiums, hackathons, tech talks, and lectures.
