BCCI and Adidas, a global sportswear brand, have collaborated in a brand-new partnership as the kit sponsor for the BCCI. This agreement runs through to March 2028 and will give Adidas exclusive rights for manufacturing kit across all formats of the game.
Adidas will not only be in charge of supplying match, training and travelling attire but also of the gear for all categories of Indian cricket, such as the men’s, women’s and youth teams. Commenting on this association, the BCCI Honorary Secretary Jay Shah highlighted the commitment of the board to growing the game of cricket and expressed excitement for the partnership.
Starting June 2023, Team India will debut its new kit designed by Adidas. This partnership will aim to lift the performance and future of Indian cricket with its innovative sportswear and expertise. Adidas has lent its support to a considerable amount of renowned teams worldwide by equipping them with the highest quality footwear and apparel; thus, it is certain that Indian cricket is in capable hands.
Besides match outfit and other apparel, BCCI and Adidas are also hoping to inspire young cricketers and to strengthen the scope of cricket in India. Adidas’ Chief Executive Officer, Bjorn Gulden, declared his firm’s high hopes for the project.
