BCCI has advertised on its website for the post of Head of Sports Science & Medicine/Academy Physio for all the 38 state cricket associations in India. This decision was taken during the Board’s Special General Meeting (SGM) on May 27 in Ahmedabad. This move aims to provide paramount importance to physical fitness, recovery, injury prevention and management for the welfare of the players.

The role and purpose of the job mentioned in the ad include providing professional care to athletes throughout the organization, coordinating with Head Sports Science & Sports Medicine at the National Cricket Academy of BCCI, state sports science and medicine teams, panel of medical experts of BCCI, Director of Cricket, NCA, Coaching staff of Team India, NCA & state associations, and the captains of respective teams.

The candidate must be below 50 years of age and have a minimum of five years of experience working as a state senior team physio (Ranji trophy) or minimum of eight years’ experience working with a high-performance sports team. The deadline to apply for this post is July 11.
