Bangladesh has announced its 15-man roster for the upcoming 3-match one-day international series against Afghanistan in Chittagong next month. Afif Hossain and Naim Sheikh have been recalled to the team after impressing in the recent domestic 50-over competition, the Dhaka Premier League. Naim, the 23-year-old top scorer of the tournament with 932 runs in 16 matches, will play his first ODI in over a year. Meanwhile, Afif played a key role in his team’s championship run, making 550 runs in 15 matches. Pace bowler Taskin Ahmed has also returned to the side after recovering from an injury that sidelined him from the Ireland tour. Bangladesh is set to play all three ODIs on July 5, 8, and 11 in Chittagong, followed by two Twenty20 internationals in Sylhet and will mark the end of the tour on July 16. Chittagong will host all three ODIs. The Bangladesh ODI squad will consist of Tamim Iqbal (capt), Liton Das, Najmul Hossain, Shakib Al Hasan, Mushfiqur Rahim, Towhid Hridoy, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Taijul Islam, Taskin Ahmed, Ebadot Hossain, Mustafizur Rahman, Hasan Mahmud, Shoriful Islam, Afif Hossain, and Naim Sheikh.
