Balochistan Police Overcomes Resource Constraints to Maintain Law and Order
In spite of facing resource constraints, Balochistan Police has successfully adopted new strategies to uphold law and order in the province. Inspector General of Police (IGP), Abdul Khaliq Shaikh, emphasized the crucial role played by the police in preserving peace, despite the challenges that come with limited resources. During the inauguration of a new police station in Loralai, the IGP expressed his views on the innovative changes and strategies implemented by the police force as the need arises.
One of the key reasons for the IGP’s visit to Loralai was to inaugurate the Sadar Police Station, which was joined by Ayan Khan, the son of Shaheed Ashraf Tareen, an ATF officer of Loralai Police. Following the station’s inspection, the IGP proceeded to visit the Allala Nawaz Shaheed Police Line Loralai. During this visit, he inaugurated the recently constructed Shaheed Shah Khalid and Shaheed Ghulam Muhammad Barracks. The IGP also took the opportunity to assess the progress of the under-construction D3 in the police line.
To address the growing issue of external interference in Balochistan, the IGP highlighted the rise in terrorist activities aimed at weakening the internal stability of Pakistan. In order to counteract this threat, the Balochistan Police require the cooperation of the public in controlling terrorism within the province. The IGP emphasized the importance of prioritizing public service and redressing the grievances of the people as a means to gain this cooperation.
During his visit, the IGP met with police personnel who had been injured while on duty in the Loralai Police Range Ghazi Unit. As a gesture of appreciation and support, he provided them with cash on behalf of the police force.
Maintaining law and order in Balochistan is a challenging task, particularly in the face of limited resources. However, the Balochistan Police, under the leadership of IGP Abdul Khaliq Shaikh, has shown remarkable resilience and adaptability by implementing new strategies and making necessary changes. The inauguration of various police facilities in Loralai is a testament to their commitment to improve the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the police force.

The IGP’s meeting with tribal leaders, including former Governor Sardar Gul Muhammad Khan Jogezaim and Chairman Municipal Committee Aziz Pathan, further exemplifies the police force’s dedication to fostering relationships and seeking support from various stakeholders.
Despite facing resource constraints, the Balochistan Police remains determined to fulfill its duty of maintaining law and order.
