Ayushmann: Inclusivity is the First Step Towards Nation-Building

Actor Ayushmann Khurrana has been appointed as the Goodwill Ambassador for Special Olympics Bharat and has shared his thoughts on nation-building. Khurrana believes that inclusivity is the first step towards nation-building and has taken personal responsibility to foster inclusivity in his country, not just through his films but also off camera. He encourages his fellow countrymen to participate in supporting the talented team headed to the World Summer Games in Berlin this year. The Special Olympics Bharat have been preparing their athletes for the prestigious event, where India will be sending a 280-strong contingent comprising of 198 athletes and partners. Special Olympics is a global inclusion movement using sports, health, education, and leadership programs to empower people with intellectual disabilities and end discrimination against them. The organization is recognized by the Indian government as a National Sports Federation for the development of Sports for Persons with Intellectual Disabilities.
