Puneet Chandok, the head of Amazon Web Services (AWS) in India and South Asia, has reportedly resigned from his position. This comes after AWS pledged to invest $12 billion in India by 2030. Chandok had been with the company for four years and was responsible for overseeing AWS operations in India and South Asia. His last day with the company is set for August. It is believed that Chandok will be joining a competitor. Chris Vonderhaar, the Vice President of AWS data center design, planning, construction, and operation, has also reportedly left the company. These departures come as India’s public cloud services market is expected to reach $17.8 billion by 2027, growing at a CAGR of 23.4%.
