Lucknow’s State Museum has opened a new ‘Awadh Gallery’ to showcase the rich history, art, and culture of the region. The gallery, which is the fourth to be added this month, brings the total number of galleries in the museum to 14. With a renovation cost of Rs 1.7 crore, the gallery spans three halls and features exhibits on the historical significance of Awadh during the Mughal reign, including paintings, handicrafts, musical instruments, and life-like models depicting scenes from Awadhi life. The gallery aims to provide visitors with an immersive experience and a comprehensive understanding of Awadh’s heritage.
