Allahabad University (AU) is set to launch five-year integrated postgraduate courses in eight streams based on the New Education Policy (NEP)-2020 starting from the 2023-24 academic session, according to reports. The decision was made in a recent meeting chaired by VC Prof Sangita Srivastava and attended by members of the NEP implementation committee and heads of departments. The courses will have 40 seats each and admission will be through the common university entrance test. Students will have the option to pursue electives in interdisciplinary fields and proficiency courses in different languages and subjects. The Centre of Behavioural and Cognitive Sciences (CBCS) of AU will conduct their integrated course for MSc and PhD degrees with 25 available seats.
