Assistant Undersecretary for Ports, Search and Follow-Up, Brigadier Abdulaziz Al Dussairi has recently visited King Fahad Causeway to assess its readiness for the upcoming Hajj and Eid Al Adha festivities. The visit included inspecting the first stage of the causeway’s expansion, which involves installing five cabins to assist with smooth traffic flow.
During his visit, Brigadier Al Dussairi was informed about the plan to reduce the processing time for paperwork through e-systems and the hiring of more staff to ensure travellers’ convenience. He commended the employees’ efforts in providing a smooth experience for travellers and wished for continued efforts in meeting their needs.
Regarding the preparations for the upcoming seasons, Brigadier Al Dussairi praised the dedication of the Interior Ministry Undersecretary for Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA), Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa. He emphasized the importance of having a hassle-free transit for all guests to arrive safely and comfortably, and to have a memorable experience.
The King Fahad Causeway connects Bahrain with Saudi Arabia, and it has always played a vital role in the Kingdom’s transportation system. Preparing and expanding these channels are essential for the economic growth and social well-being of both countries.
