Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma launched a scathing attack on Rahul Gandhi, accusing the Congress leader of cowardice following an incident at the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra in Guwahati on Tuesday. Sarma issued an official statement on X, outlining the reasons for the FIR. He condemned the Congress members for their wanton acts of violence, provocation, damage to public property, and assault on police personnel during the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra. The FIR has been registered against Rahul Gandhi, KC Venugopal, Kanhaiya Kumar, and other individuals under relevant sections of the IPC, as well as Section 3 of the Prevention of Damage to Public Property (PDPP) Act.
