Arsenal Star Gabriel Excelling Under the Radar in Premier League Success, UK

David Seaman believes that it is actually going under the radar how one Arsenal star is getting better and better this season. The Gunners now find themselves top of the Premier League table. They are yet to drop a single point in the top-flight in 2024. And they have blown a number of sides away along the way. So many of their players have been outstanding, particularly since the turn of the year. Kai Havertz continues to prove people wrong. Declan Rice somehow looks like a bargain signing in this day and age. And so many others look to be thriving at the perfect time. The centre-back partnership of Gabriel Magalhaes and William Saliba has been key to their success. Their chemistry was clear to see last season. But they appear to have kicked on in this campaign. Saliba is arguably the superstar in many ways. But Gabriel has played a massive role. And Arsenal have only conceded four league goals in 2024. Nevertheless, speaking on Seaman Says, David Seaman suggested that Gabriel deserves even more credit than he has been getting. I’ve seen Saliba just get better and better. But along with that, Gabriel is as well. And he’s going under the radar a little bit. He got a little bit of stick last season for making some erratic decisions. But he’s got that out of his game now. And it’s really important that those two stay fit, he said. It does feel as though Gabriel has received a lot of praise this season. But perhaps what has not been spoken about enough is the fee Arsenal signed him for. The Gunners landed the Brazilian for just over £23 million, according to BBC Sport. In today’s game, that is an absolute steal. And he has been a stalwart of the side almost from the moment he moved to the Emirates. Gabriel has now made over 150 appearances for Arsenal. He has never made fewer than 32 appearances in a season. And he is already up to 38 games this term. What is remarkable is that he only turned 26 in December. So there is little reason why he cannot improve further in the next couple of years.
