Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito have reunited, and it feels so good.

The two iconic actors, known for their hilarious on-screen chemistry, recently had a heartwarming reunion on the set of I Need That, a Broadway play starring DeVito. Schwarzenegger shared a photo of the memorable moment on his social media, expressing his excitement at seeing his brother once again.

Schwarzenegger captioned the photo, My brother! It was fantastic to see Danny on Broadway in ‘I Need That.’ He and Lucy and everybody involved kept the audience entertained, laughing, and loving every minute – one of the best plays I’ve ever seen, a true spectacle with heart!! I can’t wait to work together again.

The duo first captivated audiences in the 1988 buddy comedy Twins, in which they portrayed genetically engineered twins who reunite later in life after being separated at birth. Fans couldn’t contain their excitement at this unexpected reunion and flooded the comments section with enthusiasm. Some even playfully remarked that they still couldn’t tell the two actors apart, despite the ironic title of their film.

Interestingly, this isn’t the first time a potential sequel to Twins has been discussed. DeVito previously mentioned that he and Billy Crystal were considering working together on a sequel titled Throw Papa From the Train. In addition, Schwarzenegger revealed that he and DeVito had a project in the works before, which unfortunately fell through due to unforeseen circumstances.

The project, titled Triplets, would have expanded on the Twins storyline by introducing a third sibling, played by Eddie Murphy or Tracy Morgan. However, the sudden passing of the original movie’s director, Ivan Reitman, put the sequel on hold indefinitely.

Despite the setback, Schwarzenegger expressed his eagerness to collaborate with DeVito once again, emphasizing their strong rapport on and off-screen. While their next project together remains undisclosed, fans are already eagerly anticipating their next on-screen reunion.

Aside from their memorable work in Twins, Schwarzenegger and DeVito also shared the screen in the 1994 film Junior. DeVito, who is currently starring in I Need That alongside his daughter Lucy, is no stranger to the Broadway stage. In fact, his performance in Arthur Miller’s The Price earned him a Tony Award nomination.

DeVito’s latest Broadway venture, I Need That, centers around his character, an agoraphobic hoarder forced to confront the reality of his condition when the government threatens eviction if he doesn’t clean up his property. This poignant play showcases DeVito’s exceptional acting skills and continues to captivate audiences.

As fans eagerly await news of their next collaboration, they can relish in the heartwarming reunion of Schwarzenegger and DeVito, savoring the memories of their past comedic successes. Whether it’s a sequel to Twins or a brand new project, one thing is certain: the dynamic duo’s on-screen chemistry remains as strong as ever.
