Arkansas State Athletics is gearing up for an action-packed football season with an array of exciting game themes, sponsors, and promotional giveaway items set to delight fans. In a historic move, all six of the A-State home games will feature giveaways for the devoted fanbase.
The season opener on September 2 will see the Red Wolves face off against powerhouse Oklahoma. Following this thrilling matchup, the team will return to the vibrant Centennial Bank Stadium for a three-game homestand throughout September.
The first game of the homestand, scheduled for September 9 at 6:00 p.m., will see the Red Wolves take on Memphis in a game presented by St. Bernards. This game marks the return of the ever-popular Paint the Stadium Red Night, which is the culmination of the Jonesboro Regional Chamber of Commerce’s Paint the Town Red Week festivities. The first 1,000 fans entering the stadium will receive an exclusive 2023 A-State Football schedule koozie, courtesy of St. Bernards.
On September 16 at 6:00 p.m., the Red Wolves will face Stony Brook, with Coca-Cola as the proud sponsor. The first 1,000 fans through the gates will be gifted a special commemorative Coke bottle celebrating the stadium’s 50th season. This game will also serve as Teacher Appreciation Night, allowing local educators to purchase discounted tickets. A-State will also reward six area teachers with $1,000 grants as part of the Extra Yard for Teachers program.
The homestand concludes on September 23 at 6:00 p.m., when the Red Wolves take on Southern Miss for the Sun Belt Conference opener. Greenway Equipment is the presenting sponsor for this event, and the first 1,000 fans entering the gates will receive a free cap featuring both the Greenway and Red Wolves logos. This game is also dedicated to Band Day, featuring the harmonious sounds of the Sound of the Natural State alongside hundreds of high school band members from the region.
Homecoming takes place on October 21, presented by Barton’s. The event promises a memorable time for fans, with the first 1,000 attendees receiving a 50 Seasons Celebration poster featuring both original and current photos of Centennial Bank Stadium. The weekend will also include Red Wolves volleyball home matches against Southern Miss, showcasing the 2023 Arkansas State University Homecoming court and the new class of Distinguished Alumni.
In November, A-State will host two home games with engaging promotional items. On November 4 at 2:00 p.m., the Red Wolves will host Louisiana for its annual Ag Day game, celebrating the pivotal role of agriculture in the lives of Arkansans. Fans can purchase a special theme ticket featuring a limited-edition replica of Centennial Bank Stadium.
Wrapping up the home games on November 18 at 2:00 p.m. is Fan Appreciation Day and Heroes Day, presented by Hytrol. The game will include Senior Day festivities and grant 1,000 fans a collectible bobblehead featuring A-State legend and current New Orleans Saints’ All Pro linebacker Demario Davis.
