Ant and Dec Silence Tony Bellew’s Football Banter on I’m A Celebrity

Ant and Dec shut down I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here contestant Tony Bellew as he gleefully attempted to taunt them about Everton’s recent victory over Newcastle. Tony’s wife, Rachel, couldn’t resist informing him during her surprise visit to the jungle that Everton’s win had lifted them out of relegation zone in the Premier League. However, the hosts quickly nipped any football talk in the bud, leaving Tony unable to rub the score in their faces.

Tony initially tried to mention the result when Ant and Dec arrived to eliminate Marvin Humes at the end of Friday’s episode, but the hosts swiftly redirected the conversation. The banter continued when Tony and his co-stars Sam Thompson, Josie Gibson, and Nigel Farage met Ant and Dec in the trial clearing for a much-anticipated challenge called Celebrity Cyclone.

Dec noticed that Tony was wearing red and quipped that the red half of Liverpool would be supporting him. This led Tony to suspect that he was being set up for another football-related remark and cheekily responded with, I wonder if it’s anything to do with Everton giving Newcastle a good three-nil hiding. However, Dec brushed it off, pretending to be clueless about the match.

Ant intervened, attempting to shift the focus by saying, We need to get on. They went on to explain the rules of the Cyclone, and upon discovering that Tony would be taking on the crucial last leg, Ant exclaimed, Get the big balls ready for the big lad, before Dec chimed in, We’ve got some revenge to exact today.

The segment concluded with Ant declaring, This is for all the Newcastle United fans!

While the I’m A Celebrity stars are typically isolated from the outside world, the playful exchange between Ant and Dec and Tony Bellew proves that not even the strict rules of the jungle can quell some good-natured banter. With Everton’s win, Tony may have jumped at the chance to needle the hosts, but Ant and Dec expertly deflected his attempts, leaving their football allegiances firmly under wraps.

As the show progresses and the contestants face more challenges and eliminations, viewers eagerly await the next round of banter between the hosts and the celebrities. Stay tuned to I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here to witness the ongoing dynamics and unexpected surprises in the Australian jungle.
