Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has highlighted that there is no shortage of funds for the treatment of needy patients. Adityanath mentioned that people from different parts of the country and even overseas are coming to Lucknow, the state capital, to avail quality healthcare facilities.

Inaugurating the Cancer Unit at Medanta Hospital in Lucknow, the Chief Minister praised the private medical facility for its exceptional healthcare services and continuous progress. He expressed happiness over the installation of the Varian Edge Radiotherapy machine, the opening of a new chemotherapy unit, and a virtual Intensive Care Unit (ICU) by the Medanta Group.

Adityanath emphasized the significance of the Cancer Unit and the radiology machine, stating that they will revolutionize treatment for residents of nearby districts. He highlighted that previously, people had to travel to Delhi or Mumbai for cancer treatment, but now with the modern facilities available in the state, patients can receive quality care closer to home.

To support the improvement of healthcare services in Uttar Pradesh, Adityanath thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for establishing a Tata Institute in Kashi. He also mentioned that over the last three years, more than 21,000 patients have benefited from the Cancer Unit.

The Chief Minister assured that there is ample financial support for medical treatment. He emphasized the importance of ensuring access to quality healthcare services for everyone. Adityanath mentioned the initiatives undertaken by the state government, such as setting up a cancer institute in Lucknow and allocating funds from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund and the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY) for public health.

Under the PMJAY, targeted beneficiaries receive health insurance coverage of Rs 5 lakh annually. Adityanath also called upon MLAs and people’s representatives to allocate Rs 20 to 25 lakh from their own funds each year for the treatment of needy patients.

The Chief Minister’s dedication to improving healthcare services in Uttar Pradesh aims to prevent any casualties due to a lack of quality treatment. The state government’s focus on providing equitable healthcare facilities and support to those in need highlights their commitment to the welfare of the people.

With these advancements in medical infrastructure and the availability of funds, the state of Uttar Pradesh is making significant strides in delivering quality healthcare to its residents and attracting patients from different parts of the country and abroad.
