Amit Shah Inaugurates Amrita Hospital’s 25th Anniversary

Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated the silver jubilee celebrations of Amrita Hospital and a state-of-the-art research center in Kochi, India, on June 4. Amrita Hospital has big plans for the future, including providing Rs 65 crore ($8.8 million) worth of medical services, covering specialties such as pediatric cardiology, renal transplant, knee replacement, bone marrow transplant, pediatric liver transplant, and fibroscan. The hospital has already spent Rs 816 crore ($111 million) on free treatments, benefiting over 59 million patients by 2022. The goal is to reach another 50 million people by continuing to provide high-quality healthcare services. The hospital has also partnered with over 300 organizations in clinical excellence, education, research innovations, and industry partnerships. Celebrations for their dedicated employees will be held in June 2023. Amrita Hospital, Kochi, was inaugurated by former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on May 17, 1998.
