Actor Ameesha Patel has been allowed to appear physically before Ranchi Court on July 10 in connection with a 2018 cheque bounce case. Patel had filed a petition seeking exemption from appearing after she surrendered before the Ranchi Civil Court on Saturday. The court has granted her conditional bail. The case dates back to 2018 when Patel came to Ranchi to attend a programme at Harmu Ground. She met businessman Ajay Kumar Singh and discussed the financing of a film. Singh invested in the project, which eventually did not materialize, and demanded that Patel return his money. Patel returned the cheque of Rs 2.50 crores, but it bounced. Patel is set to make a comeback on the silver screen with ‘Gadar 2’, alongside Sunny Deol.
