A batch of 6,491 pilgrims has successfully resumed the Amarnath Yatra on the Pahalgam route after a three-day halt due to bad weather. The yatra on the Baltal route, however, is yet to restart, according to authorities. As the weather conditions improved, the devotees were able to pay their respects at the holy Amarnath cave. The pilgrims included 4,700 men, 1,456 women, 213 children, 116 Sadhus, and 6 Sadvis. Those who had already completed their darshan were allowed to return to the Baltal base camp.

Around 6,000 pilgrims were reportedly stranded at Ramban. The Indian Army provided shelter to over 700 stranded pilgrims at its camp in Qazigund, Anantnag. State agencies and civil departments are ensuring that the pilgrims are assisted throughout their journey by providing them with essential supplies and facilities.
Parts of Jammu and Kashmir experienced continuous rainfall, while areas near the Amarnath shrine even witnessed snowfall.
