All Blacks prop Nepo Laulala has signed with a French club after playing his final season of Super Rugby, the Blues have confirmed. The 45-test veteran was rumored to be heading to France last year but signed a one-year deal with New Zealand Rugby. Laulala was named in Ian Foster’s Rugby Championship squad on Sunday but will be departing the Blues. The team posted a video on social media bidding farewell to departing players, with a message indicating that Laulala will be reunited with the ‘Big Uce’ in France. Laulala’s older brother Casey, who also played for the All Blacks, stated on Instagram that last Friday’s semifinal loss to the Crusaders was his final game.
