Alignment Healthcare, Inc. and Walgreens have partnered to offer new $0-premium co-branded Medicare Advantage (MA) plans in select markets across Arizona, California, Florida, and Texas. The plans are set to launch on January 1, 2024, pending regulatory approvals, and are expected to provide expanded access to care for approximately 1.6 million Medicare-eligible adults.

Members who enroll in the co-branded plans will have over-the-counter benefits that can be used at Walgreens or through a mail-order provider. The plans will also offer comprehensive medical and prescription drug coverage, including a $0 copay on more than 10,000 prescription drugs at Walgreens and other in-network pharmacies. Additionally, all Alignment Health Plan members will have access to Alignment’s 24/7 ACCESS On-Demand Concierge, which provides a dedicated concierge team available 24/7 to answer health-related questions, schedule medical appointments, and arrange transportation.

The co-branded plans will be available through Alignment Health Plan as an HMO or HMO point-of-service plan, and they will be offered in select counties across Arizona, California, Florida, and Texas. Medicare-eligible adults can select these plans during the Medicare enrollment period, which runs from October 15 to December 7, with plan benefits starting on January 1, 2024.
