A new report from cloud security specialist finds the use of enterprise AI/ML tools across industry sectors has skyrocketed, led of course by ChatGPT, which also happens to be responsible for the most blocked.
The Zscaler ThreatLabz 2024 AI Security Report investigates how enterprises are utilizing AI and ML tools, analyzing trends in adapting to the ever-changing AI landscape and securing their AI tools. The report, based on over 18 billion transactions from April 2023 to January 2024, highlights key findings, including the most popular applications for enterprises identified by collected transaction data.
Surprisingly, ChatGPT and OpenAI rank among the top three tools that are blocked the most, along with the fraud detection platform Fraud.net. The report also notes a significant increase in blocked transactions, accounting for 18% of all transactions, paralleling the 595% rise in enterprise AI/ML transactions.
The data signifies a notable shift in the utilization and challenges faced by enterprises in harnessing AI/ML tools effectively and securely across various industry sectors.
