Acura, the luxury vehicle division of Honda, has unveiled its latest offering, the 2024 ZDX A-Spec. This performance SUV comes with innovative features and an all-electric powertrain, signaling Acura’s commitment to a sustainable future. The ZDX A-Spec will be available in both single-motor (rear-wheel-drive) and dual-motor (all-wheel-drive) configurations.

One of the highlights of the 2024 ZDX A-Spec is its price range, starting around $60,000. Acura is also introducing the ZDX Type S, which is expected to be the most powerful and best-performing Acura SUV to date. The Type S variant will feature a performance-tuned dual-motor AWD powertrain and is anticipated to start around $70,000.

In terms of sales, Acura has implemented a new digital sales process to ensure a simple and intuitive shopping experience for customers. All Acura ZDX sales will take place through this omni-channel approach, allowing interested buyers to browse and purchase from the comfort of their homes or at an Acura dealership. Pre-sale activities for the ZDX will commence later this year, with the first customer deliveries scheduled for early 2024. Those interested in the ZDX are encouraged to sign up for early access and reservation details on the official Acura website.

The exterior and interior styling of the ZDX were led by a team at the Acura Design Studio in Los Angeles. This production model marks the debut of Acura’s new exterior design direction, which was first introduced on the Acura Precision EV Concept at Monterey Car Week last year. With its sleek silhouette, long wheelbase, and high contrast surfacing, the ZDX showcases Acura’s dedication to performance from every angle. Notable design features include Acura’s signature front fascia with Chicane DRLs, Jewel Eye LED headlights, and a Diamond Pentagon grille with a 3-D embossed diamond pattern and illuminated surround.

Dave Marek, Acura Executive Creative Director, expressed enthusiasm for the ZDX, stating that the team was energized to design Acura’s new modern expression of performance. He also emphasized Acura’s commitment to pushing forward-thinking designs and proportions as the brand embraces the electrified future.

The ZDX Type S introduces an all-new Acura color called Double Apex Blue Pearl, which was previously showcased on the Acura Precision EV Concept. Tiger Eye Pearl, Acura’s signature color, will also be available on the ZDX, as seen on other Type S models like the TLX, MDX, and Integra.

Inside the ZDX, drivers can expect a high-end cockpit with premium materials, advanced features, and intuitive technologies. Acura has integrated Google built-in for seamless on-the-go connectivity, marking the first time it has been incorporated into an Acura model. The ZDX comes standard with a combined 22 inches of high-definition digital screen real estate, including an 11-inch Precision Cockpit Driver Information Cluster and an 11.3-inch Center Information Screen. The touchscreen interface is paired with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, offering a connected and personalized driving experience. Notably, Google Maps can be displayed on either screen, providing sophisticated route planning and estimating charging times for electric vehicles.

Acura has partnered with the renowned audio brand Bang & Olufsen to create an immersive audio experience for the ZDX. The bespoke audio system features 18 speakers, including four in the headliner, 14 channels of amplification, and a subwoofer. This collaboration ensures powerful and sophisticated sound within the tech-rich cabin of the all-electric SUV.

Safety is also a priority for Acura, as the ZDX comes equipped with AcuraWatch, a suite of safety and driver-assistive technologies. The ZDX Type S introduces Hands Free Cruise driver assistance technology to the Acura lineup, enabling true hands-free driving on compatible roads. Furthermore, the AcuraWatch 360+ system in the ZDX Type S includes an Automatic Parking Assist system, alleviating the stress of parallel parking.

The 2024 Acura ZDX A-Spec represents a significant step forward for Acura, combining innovative features, performance-focused design, and sustainability. With its all-electric powertrain, advanced technologies, and emphasis on a connected driving experience, the ZDX aims to set a new standard in the luxury SUV segment. Interested buyers can look forward to pre-sale activities later this year and the first deliveries in early 2024.
