Meanwhile, the Red River Rivalry football game between the University of Texas (UT) and the University of Oklahoma (OU) is set to remain at the Cotton Bowl Stadium at Fair Park through 2036. This decision follows plans for a $140 million renovation of the stadium. Spearheaded by Overland Partners and renowned stadium architect Bryan Trubey, the upgrades will include widening concourses, adding escalators, renovating concessions and restrooms, while also expanding hospitality areas and premium environments.

This agreement ensures that the Red River Rivalry will continue to captivate audiences and create lasting memories in Dallas for years to come, stated Monica Paul, the Dallas Sports Commission Executive Director. The renovations to the Cotton Bowl Stadium will enhance the overall experience for fans, players, and the city.
