The Arunachal Christian Forum (ACF) has voiced its concern over the ongoing violence in Manipur, where Christians have reportedly become a target. The ACF stated that a disagreement between two communities over a tribal status had been given a religious overtone, as evident from the targets of the brutal attacks, arson, and looting. The ACF further questioned the looting of the government armory and alleged the connivance of the ruling party in the mayhem. The ACF condemned the failure of the central government to fulfill its responsibilities and appealed to the Arunachal Pradesh government to contribute whatever it takes to restore peace in Manipur.
