Ace Indian footballer Sunil Chhetri celebrated his 39th birthday on Thursday. Known as one of the country’s greatest footballers, Chhetri has made significant contributions both domestically and internationally throughout his career. Chhetri began his professional journey with the City Club Delhi in 2001-02 before joining Mohun Bagan in 2002, where he scored eight goals in 18 matches. Over the years, he has played for various clubs including JCT, East Bengal, Dempo, Chirag United, Mohun Bagan, Churchill Brothers, and Bengaluru. Notably, Chhetri had stints abroad with the Kansas City Wizards in the USA’s Major League Soccer and Portugal’s Sporting CP, which further refined his skills as a well-rounded striker.
