Abhishek Bachchan Addresses ‘Dhoom 4’ Speculations, Reveals Why Action Films Elude Him
Abhishek Bachchan, the talented Bollywood actor, recently addressed the speculations surrounding the much-anticipated film ‘Dhoom 4’ and shed light on why he hasn’t been able to be a part of an action-packed film in the last few years. With his upcoming release ‘Ghoomer’ just around the corner, Abhishek Bachchan is currently busy promoting the film directed by R Balki, where he plays the role of a coach to Saiyami Kher, a cricketer who loses her right arm in an unfortunate accident. The film’s trailer has already received a great response, and AB is leaving no stone unturned in promoting his latest venture.
During one of his interviews, AB was asked about the rumors surrounding the production of ‘Dhoom 4’. The actor informed India Today that if Aditya Chopra was indeed making the film, he would have been informed beforehand. Abhishek added, Not that I know of, implying that he hasn’t received any confirmation about ‘Dhoom 4’. He stated that while he cannot confirm or deny its existence, if the film was, in fact, being made, he is confident that Aditya Chopra would have informed him about it.
When questioned about his absence from action films, Abhishek expressed his desire to be a part of the genre. However, he revealed that he has been extremely occupied over the past few years with multiple projects. In the last two years alone, the actor has been involved in 5-6 movies, including ‘Ludo’, two seasons of ‘Breathe Into The Shadows’, ‘Bob Biswas’, and ‘Dasvi’, among others.
As ‘Ghoomer’ gears up for its release on August 18, excitement among fans continues to grow. The film features a cameo by Abhishek’s father, Amitabh Bachchan. However, the father-son duo does not share a scene together in the movie.
Abhishek Bachchan provided insights into his preparation for his role in ‘Ghoomer’. He mentioned taking tips from Rohan Gavaskar, an ex-Indian cricketer and a close childhood friend, to make his portrayal of a left-arm spin bowler appear natural. Abhishek also acknowledged his admiration for Rohan’s conduct and sought his assistance to ensure accuracy in his performance. Moreover, he humorously shared that he copied director R Balki’s look for the film.
