A thief has been arrested in Delhi after he allegedly killed his married lover, with whom he was having an extramarital affair. Anil Sahu, who faced charges of theft and snatching, was apprehended on Sunday for allegedly killing his 26-year-old lover in the Narela area of the city.
A police team discovered the body of the Bihar native in her rented accommodation on Saturday after receiving a call from the control room. They found her lying on the floor with blood on the ground and oozing from her mouth. The woman’s husband works as a laborer, and the couple had two children.
Anil Sahu, a resident of Swatantrata Nagar, Narela, was identified as the main suspect during the investigation and was subsequently arrested. Police records show that Sahu was involved in 10 cases of theft and snatchings registered at Hari Nagar and Rajouri Garden police stations.
