Limpopo Police Investigate Tragic Death of Pupil Following School Fight
Limpopo police have launched an investigation into the death of a 20-year-old pupil who passed away two days after being involved in a fight on school premises. The incident occurred in Mahwelereng, and one of the boys involved in the altercation was injured and transported to the hospital. Despite being discharged a couple of days later, the injured student experienced complications and tragically lost his life. The family raised concerns about the circumstances surrounding his death after learning about the fight from the school. As a result, an inquest docket has been opened by the police, and efforts are underway to locate the other student involved in the altercation. The deceased pupil, identified as Wallen Tatesi Nthutse Ngoepe, reportedly suffered a head wound during the incident at a matric school camp.
Sinkhole Swallows Refuse Compactor Truck in Cape Town
A refuse compactor truck became trapped in a sinkhole in Lavender Hill, Cape Town, when a section of the road collapsed beneath it. The City of Cape Town is currently working to retrieve the vehicle, with rescue teams and a tow truck deployed to the area. Fortunately, only a minor injury was reported, and the individual was taken to the hospital for medical attention. The cause of the sinkhole, which may involve a sewer collapse, is under investigation by city authorities. To ensure public safety, the affected area has been cordoned off, and residents are advised to avoid the vicinity.
