iTIC Incubator at IIT Hyderabad has partnered with Greenko Group to launch a new program called Bold & Unique Ideas Leading to Development (BUILD) on World Environment Day. The initiative aims to support undergraduate students and recent graduates in developing their innovative ideas and eventually turning them into startups. The iTIC incubator has currently signed an MoU with 14 incubators to promote the BUILD program and to shortlist and support 75 innovators. Selected innovators will benefit from financial aid up to INR 1 lakh, mentorship, prototyping support, and co-working space. Additionally, they will receive pre-incubation support and further grants at iTIC Incubator at IIT Hyderabad at the end of the 12-month program. The BUILD program is open to applicants from across India and the deadline for applications is July 5, 2023. By supporting young innovators from their student days, the BUILD Scheme provides an appropriate platform for these individuals to convert their ideas into successful products, says Prof. B.S. Murty, Director of IIT Hyderabad. Greenko Group’s Managing Director and CEO, Dr. Anil Chalamalasetty, believes the BUILD program is an acknowledgment of the power of ideas and a step further to create an ecosystem that nurtures and amplifies the innovation and creativity of young minds. Dr. A.S. Kiran Kumar, former Chairman of ISRO, congratulated the iTIC Incubator at IIT Hyderabad and Greenko Group for such a unique initiative that will foster growth in the startup ecosystem.
