The All India Federation of University and College Teachers’ Organisation (AIFUCTO) and the All Nagaland Government College Teachers’ Association (ANGCTA) will be collaborating with the Kohima Science College Teachers’ Association (KSCTA) to host a national executive committee (NEC) meeting-cum-seminar on ‘NEP 2020: Envisioning quality higher education’. This two-day event will be held at the Kohima Science College in Jotsoma on June 9 and 10.
The inaugural ceremony will feature keynote speakers such as Temjen Imna Along, the Minister of Higher Education and Tourism, Prof. Kesab Bhattacharya, the President of AIFUCTO, and Prof. Arun Kumar, the General Secretary of AIFUCTO, as well as Prof. M Lokendro Singh, the National Secretary of NE, AIFUCTO.
The seminar will include discussion of research paper presentations from teachers and scholars across the country related to the theme of the seminar. The seminar will be open to participants from across the country, and an estimated 300 individuals are expected to attend.
Anenla T Sato, the Commissioner and Secretary of Higher and Technical Education, and Dr. A Nshoga, the Director of Higher Education, both government officials from Nagaland, will serve as patrons of the national seminar.
The seminar will address the new education policy introduced in 2020, which seeks to establish quality higher education across the country. The seminar will focus on the ways in which educational institutions can strive towards achieving this goal.
