Vedanta Iron Ore Karnataka has joined forces with Volvo Construction Equipment (CE) to utilize zero-emission electric off-road machines at its mines located in Chitradurga in Karnataka. The partnership will see two electric machines, SDLG’s L956H electric wheel loader and Volvo’s EC55 all-electric excavator, deployed for iron ore mining on a trial basis.
