Major Rush-Hour Crash Causes 5-Mile Delays on A406 North Circular Road

Drivers are experiencing significant rush-hour delays on the A406 North Circular Road following a major crash involving three vehicles. The incident occurred shortly before 4pm this afternoon, Friday, August 18. The crash has resulted in the closure of the A406 North Circular in Walthamstow at Crooked Billet Interchange near A112 Chingford Road. The congestion has already spread back to Green Lanes, causing five miles of delays in the eastbound direction.

According to traffic monitoring site INRIX, the underpass has now been fully shut as a result of the accident. Its latest update states that there are severe delays and queueing traffic spanning five miles due to the involvement of three cars at the A112 Chingford Road near the Crooked Billet Interchange on the A406 North Circular.
