IIT-Hyderabad Secures Top-10 Spot in NIRF Engineering List for Eighth Consecutive Year
The Indian Institute of Technology-Hyderabad (IIT-H) has maintained its position as one of the top engineering institutes in India, retaining its overall rank of 14 in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) released by the Union Ministry of Education.
For the eighth year in a row, IIT-H has secured a spot in the top-10 technical institutes in India, ranking 8th this year, and the best among second-generation IITs. Additionally, it has been ranked third in NIRF-Innovation, formerly known as ARIIA, the Atal Ranking of Institutions on Innovation Achievements.
IIT-H has established itself as a brand, attracting highly talented students and faculty members to innovate in technology for the benefit of humanity. Director B.S. Murty said, This is just a milestone reached. With the support of such an energetic and enthusiastic team, we will create newer benchmarks in innovating and inventing in technology for humanity.
Dean S. Surya Kumar emphasized that innovation is not limited to a specific activity at IIT-H. Instead, it is an ecosystem that supports young entrepreneurs from concept to market, encompassing incubation, academic programs, student cells, IP, and technology transfer support.
IIT-H’s focus on interdisciplinary and industry-centric academic programs aims to align with the National Education Policy-2020. These initiatives are expected to encourage more students to become entrepreneurs.
