Bank of Baroda has launched an Interoperable Cardless Cash Withdrawal (ICCW) facility allowing customers to withdraw money using Unified Payments Interface (UPI) from its ATMs. It is the first public sector bank to offer this service. Customers of Bank of Baroda or other participating issuer banks who use BHIM UPI, bob World UPI or any other UPI application enabled for ICCW on their mobile phones can withdraw cash from the bank’s ATMs without using their debit cards. Customers need to select the ‘UPI Cash Withdrawal’ option at the ATM and enter the withdrawal amount. A QR code is displayed on the ATM screen, which customers can scan using a UPI app enabled for ICCW followed by authorizing the transaction with their UPI PIN on the mobile phone to withdraw the cash from the ATM. ICCW functionality enables customers to select the account to be debited if multiple bank accounts are linked to a single UPI ID. Customers can avail two transactions a day per account with a withdrawal limit of INR 5,000 per transaction.
