A London man has been apprehended by the city’s police after allegedly being in possession of a stolen vehicle and bear spray. The incident took place in the east end of the city, specifically around Marmora and Nelson streets.
Police officers discovered the stolen vehicle on Wednesday at approximately 2 p.m. To their surprise, they witnessed a man exiting a residence and attempting to enter the reported stolen vehicle. Acting swiftly, the suspect was immediately arrested. During the subsequent search, law enforcement found a can of bear spray in the man’s possession.
The individual, identified as a 29-year-old London resident, now faces charges related to the incident. Specifically, he has been charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5000, as well as possession of a prohibited or restricted weapon or prohibited device with unauthorized knowledge and no authority.
The accused is scheduled to appear in London court regarding the charges on September 25th.
