35-Year-Old Convicted Rapist Rapes Minor Girl Again in Madhya Pradesh, Sparking Outrage
A shocking incident has rocked Madhya Pradesh as a 35-year-old man, who was previously convicted of rape and released after serving part of his sentence, has now committed the same heinous crime once again. According to City Superintendent of Police (CSP) Mahendra Singh Chouhan, Rakesh Verma had previously committed a similar crime 12 years ago. Back then, he had raped another minor girl, who was approximately four and a half years old. As a result, Verma was convicted and sentenced to 10 years in prison.
Shockingly, Verma only served seven years of his sentence, and the remaining three years were pardoned due to his claimed good behavior while behind bars. Around one and a half years ago, he was released from jail after completing his reduced sentence, only to repeat the same atrocious act once again.
The incident involving Rakesh Verma and the minor girl unfolded when he took her away from the Jagatdev Talab area in the district at around 5 pm on Wednesday. Local authorities and law enforcement sprang into action upon learning about the matter. Subsequent investigations revealed that the accused had indeed raped the innocent minor.
Prompt action was taken, and the minor was immediately rushed to the hospital for primary treatment. Given the severity of her condition, she was subsequently referred to Rewa for further medical attention. The police wasted no time in registering a case against Rakesh Verma under the relevant sections of the law and promptly apprehended the accused.
When asked about the possibility of confiscating Verma’s properties, CSP Chouhan stated that all necessary actions would be taken to address this aspect of the case.
